Costa Rica Handbook (2005) - "54 attractive all-wood rooms with fans, screened windows, handsome private baths with large walk-in showers, and rocking chairs reached by canopied walkways. The family-style restaurant and bar is airy and spacious. There's a swimming pool and sun deck with lounge chairs, plus Jacuzzi, game room, and nature trail."

Located about 500 meters north of the village of Tortuguero, there are 54 rustic units with private baths and covered walkways. A restaurant serves family-style meals. There is a bar, swimming pool with waterfall, Jacuzzi, volleyball court, and an air conditioned conference room with nightly presentations by the resident, multi-lingual biologist. Hot climate.

During your stay, enjoy our pool surrounded by exotic gardens and relax in the ranchos with hammocks. Comfortable rooms with ceiling fans provide tranquil garden views. Stroll through the nature trails or take a leisurely walk on the pristine beach in front of the Lodge.
