BABY TURTLE HATCHING (Aug.-Nov.) (83TOL06) Duration: Price: US$15 With a guide, walk the beach in the early morning hours in search of a nest that has begun to hatch. Minimum of two participants required. Aug. to Nov. only.

CARIBBEAN CONSERVATION CORP. MUSEUM (80TOL06) Duration: Price: US$12 Visit the museum founded by the Caribbean Conservation Corporation (CCC) dedicated to the Sea Turtles that nest in Tortuguero and the pioneering work of the late, Dr. Archie Carr.

KAYAKING IN TORTUGUERO (85TOL06) Duration: Half day Price: US$69 per person (min. 2 participants) Access some of the most remote areas of Tortuguero National Park by kayak. Go where motorboats cannot and where wildlife is most abundant.

NATURAL HISTORY BOAT TOURS (86TOL06) Duration: Price: US$12/person per hour Local boatman guided tour through Tortuguero's creeks, highlighting the interesting aspects of the area's history, culture and nature. Dawn tour also available ($19/person per hour).

TORTUGUERO VILLAGE TOURS (87TOL06) Duration: Price: US$25 Tour the village of Tortuguero with a local guide. Learn about the history of the village.

TURTLE MATING OBSERVATION (July-Oct.) (82TOL06) Duration: Price: US$39 In a boat, you will observe hundreds of Atlantic green sea turtles mating in the waters off the coast. Reservations must be made in advance. July to Oct. only.

TURTLE NESTING: NIGHTTIME WALKS (Jun-Oct only) (81TOL06) Duration: 2 hours Price: US$29 Escorted by the best Tortuguero Guides available, visitors will have the opportunity to see a major nesting beach for the Atlantic Green Sea Turtle up close. Tours are at 8 and 10 PM and are subject to weather and Park Service Lottery, which determines who can go. June to Oct. only.
