The Penthouse Suite
Located on the second floor, the "Penthouse Suite" measures 800-sq-feet and has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It was built in Dec. 2004 especially for families and guests who want more space and luxury than can be found in our standard rooms.

The bedrooms are separated from the two sitting areas by curtains that can be closed at night and opened during the day. Each has it’s own private bath. The indoor and outdoor sitting areas feature wicker furniture. The walls, floor and ceiling are of sustainably-harvested tropical woods.

Deluxe Rooms
Tortuga Lodge has 26 deluxe rooms, all with a view of the Tortuguero River. Each room has either two queen sized beds or one king size bed (additional beds can be added to most rooms upon request) a private solar heated hot water shower and ceiling fans.

Each room has almost as much window space as it does walls, windows are tightly screened but we did not use glass so that you are able to hear the sounds of the rainforest.

Every room has a front porch where you can sit between the tropical rainforest and the Tortuguero River and read your book, view the birds in the garden or simply watch the river flow by. Downstairs rooms give you the feeling of being in the forest and the upstairs rooms give you a bird's eye view of the gardens.

Lodging prices do not include sales taxes (13%). Meal prices do not include Sales and Service taxes (23%).

Children's policy:

• Room rates: Children 0-10 years stay free when sharing room with two adults.
• Meal prices: Ages 0-5, free; Ages 6-10, half price; Ages 11 and older, full price.
• Transportation: All children, including infants, pay full fare on transportation.
• Excursions: All children, including infants, pay full fare on excursions.
• Packages to Tortuga Lodge: For the Tortuguero Jungle Odyssey and the Tortuguero Jungle Expedition,children 0-10 receive a 25% discount.
