Kristel began as a Transfer Guide for Costa Rica Expeditions in 2014 this has been a great help when she moved to the office because it helped her acquire and develop knowledge only obtained by direct contact with our guests.
She is currently studying at the University of Costa Rica. Her major is in progress: Environmental Health; her studies have been very helpful as she is supporting CEO & Founder, Michael Kay, in the campaign for the construction of a sewage treatment plant for the rural town of Tortuguero, on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.
She has enjoyed working on the project because it speaks to her commitment to environmental and social welfare. Surprisingly, she's only 23 years old but her young age has not been an obstacle to her drive.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing chess and videogames.
