Norton Sinclair

Norton, better known as “Putut,” was born on March 10, 1964, in Rio Maíz, Nicaragua, and is one of nine siblings. He began working for Costa Rica Expeditions in 2005, and since then has gained his coworker’s and guest’s affection because of his good humor and sweet character.

Norton worked many years in fishing, but eventually moved to the Limón Province to be with his family. Once settled, he took up guiding. After so many years working on the ocean and living in coastal areas similar to Limón, Norton had become an expert birder and knowledgeable on the tropical flora surrounding him. “I especially enjoy helping guests spot a particular bird or animal they’ve never seen before or are keen to see,” he says. In his spare time, Norton can be found fishing, listening to music, playing dominoes with friends or watching tv.
